Last but not least. Out final instructor is Alaina. She will be leading restorative yoga. Her journey with yoga started with a bet. Her previous coworkers bet who couldn’t make it through a hot yoga class. Alaina made it and fell in love with the cool lavender towels. She began taking more classes and loved the power then restorative after. She decided she wanted more and went to Sangha Yoga under Tracy Barbuto. She began teaching power but gravitated to beginner yoga and more yin/restorative. In recent times, she prefers the yin/restorative because things actually change when things get uncomfortable.

So excited to have Berkeley back this year for one of her AMAZING sound baths! You won’t be disappointed 🤗. Berkeley creates spaces where the nervous system softens, the intuition sharpens, and the soul gets to speak.

Blending somatic practices, sound healing, trance channeling, and intuitive guidance, Berkeley supports high-functioning, heart-led humans ready to move from burnout and disconnection into clarity, creative flow, and deep self-trust.

She is a Spiritual Mentor, Empathic Intuitive, Trance Channel Healer, Sound Bath Facilitator, Certified Usui Reiki Master Teacher, and Somatic Coach who has completed advanced mentorship with one of the world’s leading psychic mediums.

Her work is both mystical and practical ~ equal parts cosmic and grounded. Through vibration, embodied awareness, and creative reflection, she creates spaces where stored emotion can release, intuition can sharpen, and we remember who we were before the noise.

Berkeley works with individuals seeking clarity and renewal, as well as yoga teachers, therapists, retreat leaders, and wellness practitioners who want to deepen their offerings and co-create meaningful, embodied experiences. She offers immersive sound journeys, collaborative facilitation partnerships, and private sessions designed to expand both personal practice and professional impact.

This year we have a new class…Mat Pilates! This class will be led by Princess West. Princess is a certified Mat Pilates instructor with three years of teaching experience and a passion for helping others move with strength and confidence. She began her fitness journey in 2014 as a certified Zumba instructor and has since expanded her expertise with certifications in Barre Above and Spinning. Known for her dynamic energy, Princess loves incorporating a wide variety of music into her classes, thoughtfully designing workouts that flow with the rhythm and keep participants motivated. She brings positive vibes, encouragement, and fun to every session she leads. Her love for Mat Pilates grew when high-intensity cardio workouts began taking a toll on her joints. While she still enjoys high-energy classes, she appreciates that Pilates offers the perfect balance of challenge, control, and sustainability, delivering powerful results while being gentle on the body. Outside the studio, she enjoys beach days with her husband and their dog, Mr. Prince, and values her faith, family, and community. Princess is honored to be part of Boro Fest 2026.

Let’s meet Brianna! Brianna started practicing yoga in 2014 after she completed a half marathon. She picked up yoga on YouTube as a way to stretch and recover from the brutal training she endured for the run. Within two weeks of practicing at home she knew this practice would be something she would carry with her forever and felt the pull to share it with others. After two years of self practice she began to visit different studios and meet others in the yoga community. She finally met Tracy Barbuto who was an Ashtanga instructor, who just so happened to be a teacher trainer as well. After a few classes and further YTT discussions Brianna was committed to becoming an instructor.
She completed her course with Sangha Yoga (by Tracy Barbuto) in 2017 and has been teaching in the Murfreesboro area ever since. Brianna’s favorite style to teach is Vinyasa. She loves to infuse creative flows with beginner friendly postures and rhythms together all while maintaining a fun and energetic class over all. She is a big advocate for the use of props during classes to make sure all postures are executed with proper form. You can expect an upbeat playlist, a full body asana practice, and a gentle cool down and savasana from one of her classes.

Let’s meet our first instructor, Akiko Schooley! Akiko was introduced to yoga by a friend in 2014, mainly for exercise but immediately she
was enthralled by all the cool yoga poses. This led to her practicing yoga on a regular basis
and participating in different yoga challenges on IG (). As she practiced
more, she began to understand the true meaning of yoga and decided to deepen her
passion by enrolling in yoga teacher training. Akiko received her RYT 200 from Sangha in
2016. Through the teacher training and dedicated yoga practice, her meaning of yoga has
transformed from “my hobby” to “my life”.
Akiko was born and raised in Japan. Since she was a little girl, she always dreamed of
becoming a global person who would be a mediator between communities and people all
over the world. Teaching yoga has given her the opportunity to connect and contribute to
multiple communities. She has been able to connect with people who have different
backgrounds, different ages, and even different nationalities. She truly believes that when
yoga is practiced together, everyone speaks the same language and we all become one.
Currently she is teaching at Gold’s Gym and Edmondson Pike Library (for Small World Yoga)
