Did you know clear moles can still be melanoma?

Some melanomas don’t look like the classic dark spot. Amelanotic melanomas—sometimes called “clear” moles—can be pink, skin-colored, or slightly red. Because they blend in with surrounding skin, they’re easy to miss.

Watch for:
Changes in size, shape, or texture
Spots that itch, bleed, or don’t heal
Any mole that looks different from the rest

Regular self-checks and dermatologist visits are key. If you notice a new or changing spot—even if it’s not dark—get it checked. Early detection saves lives.
