10:30am-12:00pm (every Monday for 5 weeks)

As promised, registration is now open for the first 5-week infant massage workshop! Throughout each session, you'll discover gentle massage techniques designed to soothe your baby, enhance bonding, and promote overall well-being.

Why 5 weeks?

Infant massage is taught over five weeks to provide a structured and gradual learning experience for parents and babies. This extended duration allows for thorough instruction, enabling parents to absorb and practice techniques at a comfortable pace. Additionally, the multi-week format supports bonding between parent and infant, fosters a supportive community environment, and allows for personalized guidance to address individual needs and preferences effectively.

Volunteers needed!

During the past week, I spent four days immersing myself in the world of infant massage and learning how to teach this valuable skill to parents and caregivers. To achieve certification as an Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM) through the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM), I need to teach infant massage to five families. I'm looking for five people who meet the following criteria:

1. Have a baby under 1 year of age.
2. Can commit to attending five in-person classes, once per week over 5 weeks.
3. Are willing to provide feedback through an evaluation after the course.

I am hoping to start Wednesday November 1st and meet each Wednesday for 5 weeks (perhaps adjusting for Thanksgiving, TBD by group preference).

I am finally a Network Provider for the TRICARE West region! Now I can see both TRICARE Select AND Prime beneficiaries without a referral! This has been a huge issue for Prime beneficiaries so I am excited to be able to provide services now, without all the hoops and out of pocket costs for this COVERED benefit!

With so many products on the market, it can be overwhelming to know which product should be used for what purpose! ⁣

Before you begin using any product, you should always understand exactly what it’s for and it’s not always clear on the instructions. Here is a breakdown of two commonly misunderstood products and when to use them. ⁣
⁣
If you’re using a product to increase milk supply, especially in the first few weeks, consult with a lactation consultant to find out WHY your milk supply might be low. ⁣Need a consult? Book an appointment with me! Link is in my bio!

For all my pumping mamas out there, do you pump and store each session in marked bags, or do you collect it throughout the day and then divide it up at the end of the day?

There is no right or wrong way to collect your milk, as long as you're collecting it and storing it safely. Looking back on my pumping days, I wish I would have used the pitcher method. I have a small storage capacity (and definitely wasn't using the correct sized flanges!) and often times I felt defeated after pumping throughout the day. My milk supply got smaller and smaller with every pump session, and it was likely normal!

But seeing all these super pumpers online, and looking at my 2-3 ounces per session, I felt like I wasn't making enough, which made me doubt my supply for my babe. Using the pitcher method and seeing my progress throughout the day would have benefitted my mental health (and probably my milk supply, hello cortisol and adrenaline!).
