Gradation Spotlight: CJ 🐾✨
Meet CJ, a 12-year-old Carolina Dog who began his rehab journey with us in June 2025 after being diagnosed with IVDD/FCE and inflammation from C2–C5.
Our initial objectives:
• Reduce inflammation in the neck and shoulders
• Reconnect neural pathways in the hind limbs
• Regain standing ability and mobility in the hind limbs
With consistent rehab twice weekly, CJ began showing meaningful progress quickly.
➡️ After just one month, he was able to hold independent stands.
➡️ Over the next month, he started learning how to ambulate again.
➡️ By three months, CJ was walking independently, and we shifted our focus to building strength, endurance, and muscle memory.
Every rehab journey is different — timelines vary, progress isn’t always linear, and patience is key. What made CJ’s story so special was not only his determination and grit, but also the incredible dedication of his parents, who put in countless hours of home exercises, support, and encouragement. Their consistency and commitment played a huge role in CJ’s success.
We are beyond proud of CJ and his amazing family and honored to be part of their journey. Way to go, CJ — your perseverance inspires us every day! 💙🐶
