If you want to know WHAT KETOGENIC DIET does to YOUR CHOLESTEROL PANEL, look no further. This is a cholesterol panel of a young man in his late 30s, who has been consuming a Keto-Diet for about 3 months.
You don't have to be a Doctor to see how bad these results are before you decide to make the same mistake. Remember, human are not lions or wolfs. Our closest relatives in the animal kingdom are vegans, so should we. There is not a single animal living on this planet that is confused about what to eat, except the so called animal, "human". This confusion limits it's longevity and health in an adverse manner. There is not a single lion on earth who would eat grass and vegetation instead of meat. Not a single horse or buffalo, who would prefer eating fish and chicken, instead of grass. Why a human thinks that it can eat anything possible, beats me. You can not imagine, how confusing this is to my patients as seen in their facial expression, after I tell them that they should stop eating animal flesh, including fish, poultry, beef & pork. Their universal question is "what do I eat?" "Where do I get my proteins?" My response is always the same: "You can eat everything that grows in earth, on earth and on trees that is edible, you can eat. Limit foods that come in a box, bag or can as much as possible". "No plant eating animal (horse, buffalo, elephant, gorilla etc) suffer of protein deficiency. Similarly, you will not either." That is my simple advise, no further instructions needed. Just learn to eat a natural plant based human diet as your body is designed to process, not what the TV, food commercials or some self-proclaimed experts tell you what to eat. Again, there is not a single animal on earth that is confused and needs instruction about what to eat, but we, human beings are utterly confused and always look for instructions.

Something to think about if you still think you are "eating like human ancestors" ...

"If a modern heart doctor could give medical advice to the iceman Ötzi — the man who was preserved as a mummy after his murder about 5,300 years ago in the snowy Alps — it would be this: Stop eating so much fatty meat and consider taking medications that lower your blood pressure and cholesterol.

This advice is based on a new comprehensive look at the iceman mummy's cardiovascular health. A full-body computed tomography (CT) scan showed that Ă–tzi had three calcifications (hardened plaques) in his heart region, putting him at increased risk for a heart attack. "

Here's how modern heart doctors would treat Ă–tzi the iceman mummy.

The top risk factors that can be managed in order to avoid heart problems are blood cholesterol levels, blood pressure, blood glucose level, smoking cessation, regular exercise, and maintaining a proper weight.

Almost all of the risk factors for heart disease, other than smoking or lack of exercise, can be prevented or controlled by one simple lifestyle choice – what you eat.

Prevention is always the best medicine. South Strand Cardiology strongly endorses focusing on your heart health to stop or decrease the chance of developing a heart condition in the first place, or to stop existing heart disease from becoming worse.

If you are concerned about your heart health, wish to manage an existing heart condition, or wish to prevent cardiovascular disease from developing in the first place – you will need to focus on eliminating the major risk factors. The top risk factors that can be managed in order to avoid heart pr...

A new study is adding fuel to the plant-based fire by reporting that vegan protein is far healthier than meat for the heart.

BackgroundCurrent evidence suggests that plant and animal proteins are intimately associated with specific large nutrient clusters that may explain part of their complex relation with cardiovascular health. We aimed at evaluating the association between specific patterns of protein intake with cardi...

About 47% of sudden cardiac deaths occur outside of a hospital. This suggests that many people with heart disease do not act fast enough upon encountering the early warning signs.

If you have any signs that make you suspect that you may be having a heart attack, please do not delay in seeking medical help! Every minute matters! When a heart attack strikes, sometimes the symptoms can be confused as being attributed to something else. This can be dangerous.
