True healing comes not just from what we consume but from how we live and connect. Exercise strengthens the body, nature renews the soul, and laughter reminds us of the joy in every moment. Ancient wisdom and modern science both tell us: health is a holistic journey, not a destination. What medicine will you choose today—will it be a moment of gratitude, a walk under the sun, or the healing presence of a friend? Let’s celebrate the remedies that don’t come in bottles but in experiences. 🌿✨

"You’re going to realize it one day — that happiness was never about your job, or your degree, or being in a relationship. Happiness was never about following in the footsteps of all of those who came before you, it was never about being like the others. One day, you’re going to see it — that happiness was always about the discovery, the hope, the listening to your heart and following it wherever it chose to go. It was about resilience, and facing fears, and cleansing tears. Happiness was always about being kinder to yourself, it was always about embracing the person you were becoming. One day, you will understand. That happiness was always about learning how to live with yourself, that happiness was never in the hands of other people. It was always about you. It was always about you."

The violence has to stop. We MUST work together to put an end to what is happening with these school shootings. The Georgia high school shooting yesterday breaks our hearts wide open.

As a mama of a soon-to-be-teen, I find myself wrought with grief as I do every time these events happen... and they KEEP happening. There is a pervasive disease tearing through our communities that must be acknowledged and addressed. A hatred, a loathing so intense and so vile that it feels justified in consuming and taking the lives of fellow children & teachers, fellow humans. It consumes all.

I don't know whether it is extreme disconnect, lack of authentic nurturing, abuse, bullying, mental illness, or what. I suspect a bit of ALL of it. I am in full support of gun control, without question. However, I am not so naïve as to think this will solve these problems. The shootings are the symptoms, the guns are the means, but neither are the actual issue or root cause. And until we face these root causes and DO SOMETHING to address not only the what, but the why... it won't end.

There is an air of intolerance and self-righteous indignation laced with a sense of panicked hopelessness that permeates our society today, on both sides of the fence, leading to bouts of expressed intolerance, hatred, rage, cruelty, and even violence. Please join me in praying for our country right now (to whomever or whatever you pray, if anyone) that healing will begin to take place from deep within. That we may begin to look within rather than without and stop placing blame when our energy could be best spent searching for viable solutions. That we will see these problems not as someone else's, but our own, and seek to find ways to make a difference.

Wellness Wednesday Tip:
The Beauty of Meditation - It's Impossible to Fail

One of the most wonderful aspects of meditation is that it's impossible to fail. Unlike other activities where there's a clear right or wrong way, meditation is a personal journey. There's no specific outcome to achieve.

Many people believe that meditation requires a state of complete stillness & a totally empty mind, like you're in some sort of hypnotic trance. This is a misconception. Meditation is simply a single point of focus. It can be something as simple as your breath, or the steps you take, or a phrase you repeat.

When you meditate, thoughts will naturally arise. Some may be pleasant, while others may be unpleasant. The key is to simply observe these thoughts without engaging with them. Allow them to come and go, like clouds passing through the sky. See them as images, without getting caught up in the story.

As you continue to practice, you may notice patterns in your thoughts and feelings. This awareness can be incredibly helpful in understanding yourself and your emotions. By observing without judgment, you can allow what needs to arise to come up and release whatever needs to go.

There's no such thing as failing at meditation. If you have simply tried, you have succeeded just by trying. It's a journey of self-discovery, and every moment spent practicing is a step in the right direction.

Sacred Saturday: Embracing the Circles of Life

🌞 Nature is full of perfect circles: from the sun to the moon, from the delicate petals of a flower to the shape of a cloud in the sky... these circles remind us of the great circle of life. Birth, growth, decay, and renewal - it's all a beautiful, endless cycle.

🌳 So, too, is this beautiful cycle mirrored in our own lives. Just as our blessings do not last forever, neither do our challenges. They are all interconnected and a part of our own circle of life.

🌎 Take a moment today to go outside and see how many circles you can find in nature. Allow these images to be a gentle reminder of your own exquisite journey & pause to find peace in the process.
