Dr. Mark Borowicz, MD, FACS, Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General and Vascular Surgery, he is the founder and medical director of The Vein Center of South Carolina. Dr. Borowicz is the former chief of Surgical Services for Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and currently practices at Grand Strand Surgical Care. In addition, he is the Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery on the Graduate Medical Education Faculty at GSRMC. Dr. Borowicz is a graduate of University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and Wake Forest University Medical School, completing his residency at MUSC and his Vascular Fellowship at Vanderbilt University. His professional society memberships include Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association.

Ashley Borowicz, RN, BSN, BS, is a graduate of The University of South Carolina College of Nursing, Horry-Georgetown Technical College School of Nursing, and the University of North Carolina – Greensboro School of Business and is the current clinical director of The Vein Center of South Carolina. Ashley has been with The Vein Center since 2007. She holds certificates in laser therapy, cosmetic injections, and sclerotherapy. She trained under the supervision of Catherine P. Quinn, RN, BSN, CVN, and prior clinical director of The Vein Center.
