In memory of Mark-Ethan

In memory of Mark-Ethan In Memory and honor of my son, Mark-Ethan, who was murdered at the young age of 10. July15, 2002-April 7, 2013 This page is kept up to date by myself.

This page is to honor my son who lost his life at a very young age. I am his mother. I just want his memory to live on and share our story with others. If you have any questions feel free to ask. First, let me start by saying what a Great son, Mark-Ethan, was. He made great grades in school, had wonderful manners, always wanted to help, had an out going personality, could always make you smile or laugh, he loved to hunt and fish with his P-Pa, he was a Steelers fan, Jimmie Johnson fan, wrestled in kindergarten, played baseball and football, loved his brother CJ, Uncle Bubba, and Nana, just to name a few. His favorite place to fish was with his Great Uncle Terry at his house and pier off the lake in TN. He belonged to Tall Tines Hunting Club. He also loved to be crafty, color, or draw. He loved art. He was great at Math. His best friend's name is Spencer. I could go on and on forever but that gives you a general idea. Mark-Ethan lost his life on Sunday, April 7, 2013, by the hands of a man I was dating. The man's name is Eugene William Mays. Eugene also attempted to murder me but by the grace of God, I survived. My son was murdered by being stabbed numerous times, while trying to be a HERO and help his mom. I was cut across the neck three times, under my chin, part of my left ear cut off (small), and on my left hand. I laid in the house bleeding out for 12 hours plus before being discovered by the police department. My mother, Mark-Ethan's Nana, had my oldest son and had attempted to contact me numerous times by phone and even came by my house numerous times to no response. Out of concern she called the Police Department who then discovered the horrific scene. Luckily, I have a very concerned mother who played a major role in saving my life. My mother and my oldest son was not able to enter the house. The police sent them straight to the hospital. My dad and brother met them there. At the hospital, I was rushed into emergency surgery and my family learned the fate of my youngest son; that he had been murdered at the scene. At that moment no one knew if I was to going to live or die. I do not recall anything about the hospital. I do know that I was in there 9 days and family or close friends stayed with me. I did NOT get to attend Mark-Ethan's funeral. I was unable to help with any of the preparations. My parents handled it all.I have been blessed with wonderful parents! They even took care of my oldest son, CJ, while I was in the hospital. A close family friend named Judy, also helped. It was a very hard time for all of us. All of my extended family lived out of state and they did make their way to NC. They came to see me and pray for my recovery. They also came to help with the arrangements for my son. I had a prayer team from all over praying for me! I am thankful everyday I am alive. I am blessed.

******I will continue to update this as I can. Please bare with me. Feel free to use Google on Eugene Mays, Mark-Ethan Alexander Stewart, or Christi Melisha Stewart to see the stories the paper and or news posted.*********
