MISERICORDIA CANDY DAYS 2024
There are several nonprofits that still need our support. One of those is the amazing residential village, Misericordia, where my daughter Miriam can call home, after being on the waiting list for 14 years! Misericordia is a 31-acre residential village for more than 600 children and adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. Our family is so fortunate and grateful for the frontline heroes that work on her campus daily and for all the amazing resources and support it provides her. If you are willing to donate, please consider a contribution to Misericordia for my daughter Miriam and all her neighbors.
We all pray for healthy children and grandchildren. I must admit that it is always uncomfortable for me to ask people for donations. Emotionally it is also challenging, raising a child or adult with special needs, but somehow God then brings special people into your life…
Each person at Misericordia is living in an environment of love, respect, dignity and challenge. This would not be possible without events, such as Candy Days and the volunteers and generous donors who make it happen. My 37-year-old daughter, Miriam has an intellectual disability, and has a severe seizure disorder from a genetic condition (Tuberous Sclerosis).
I hope that you will consider making a meaningful contribution to this wonderful and important cause that helps children and adults with serious disabilities lead a richer, fuller life.
