I am a non-profit organization and rely on help by good animal loving people like you. Welcome to our page where we are dedicated to saving and caring for feral felines in our community through the power of education and the practice of TNR. My name is Rusti, and I have built a little bit of kitty heaven. I am dedicated to saving as many ferals as I can and am passionate about educating others on how to combat the astronomical numbers of feral cats world wide ! I release most ferals I trap but will keep all kittens, pregnant mommas and sick or injured kits. The kits I have at my facility now are ones that never left once released or have a lower survival rate in the swamp, so I have integrated them into my existing colony. It's hard work and it's not cheap, but I do what I can with what I've got. If you saw the video of Bart meeting Jalapeno for the first time, you may remember that the swamp king was NOT amused.
But I am happy to report that there is much more tolerance now and no more blow torch hissing from Bart. I think he realized that Hal was not going to give up. Kidden energies isn't something that can just be turned off in a blink of an eye. 😺

Dingus, my eldest and only surviving original EMC kit, is here with the youngest, baby Hal. Dingus is really starting to show his age but baby Jalapeno is constantly bombarding him with pounces and kidden energy. We are still in the high 80's though..... and I saw on the news where there are already several states with freeze warnings ! I do miss the cold, but not the freeze. lol Have a wonderful day my furiends.

Halloween is almost upon us.
Do you know what scares Andie Marie Tilton and me the most ??
The asinine beliefs that come with the holiday regarding black cats. 🐈‍⬛ I am constantly amazed at how many grown adults still believe in old wives tales and evil myths. This is the time to safeguard all kits but especially black cats. Make sure you take precautions to not let your kits escape Halloween night. With the door opening and children screaming, your kits can easily be spooked and dart out ! Even strays need your watchful eyes. If you see abuse, STOP it ! REPORT it ! I always tell my friends that they need to have extra money tucked away for me, because if I see abuse, I will need bail money.
Be cautious. Stay vigilant. Be prepared.
