The Ellen Nolan Previte Scholarship is designed to support Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) nursing students as they prepare to enter the healthcare workforce.

This scholarship provides tuition assistance to qualified FSW nursing students. Recipients of the Ellen Nolan Previte Nursing Scholarship agree to the following terms:

- Volunteer at NCH for 8 hours per semester during the nursing program.
- The student agrees to a two (2) year employment commitment to work at NCH upon graduation and/or passing the NCLEX licensure exam.
- Scholarship funds will be paid directly to FSW.

Spring Application Deadline: September 1, 2025

Positions available include:
• Urgent Care Desk Support
• Physical Therapy Department
• Volunteer Office Support

Full-time and seasonal residents are welcomed, volunteer only 4 hours a week, morning or afternoon. NCH volunteer uniforms will be provided.

The services offered by the NCH Healthcare System are extensive. Inpatient services include: medical, surgical, cardiac, orthopedic, obstetric, pediatric, rehabilitative, psychiatric, oncology, emergency treatment, and diagnostics. Outpatient services include: rehabilitation, home care, walk-in centers, wound healing, and more. This year the system had 37,284 admissions, 87,100 emergency room visits, 3,033 births, 416 open heart surgeries, 11,282 surgical procedures, and 3,000 employee colleagues. NCH is a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
