OSHA top 10, 2023 versus 2022.
Focusing on Forklifts and Fall-Protection training, it would seem that the USA had more violations in 2023 over 2022.

Forklift citations 2022 at #7=1,749 versus 2023 at #5=2,550
Fall-Protection citations 2022 at #1=5,260 versus 2023 at #1 =7,188.

The Fall-Protection one is no surprise quite honestly as every single day I witness a careless person putting their lives at risk. Forklifts regardless of construction or General Industry are being handled in an unsafe manner.

It is simple, DON'T be unsafe and careless, it's not just you but your fellow workers and your family that also suffer when you get hurt, not to mention the financial cost.

All fun and games having a dance on the roof until you fall. I see 4 OSHA violations, zero fall protection established. If you are in construction, over 6-feet, fall protection is required. General industry over 4-feet fall protection required.
Stop risking injury and possibly your lives, get trained and use the required safety devices. We can help with this 1-888-640-8429 or info@pacsafetraining.com

I'm not sure when these contractors will learn and why the workers feel they are invincible. Condolences to the family who lost a loved one. I hope the contractor spends the 4-months thinking of their actions.

NY Roofing Contractor Sent to Prison for Failing to Protect Employee
• A New York roofing contractor was sentenced to four months in prison for failing to protect an employee who fell to his death.
• Jose Lema, the founder and principal owner of ALJ Home Improvement, was sentenced last week in a federal court that found that in 2022, he sent four employees without fall protection to install a roof on a three-story building. One of them died in a fall at the site.
• “Jose Lema endangered the safety of his workers by disregarding regulations and failing to ensure his employees used fall protection systems,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said.
• Williams said that the sentence “should send a message to small businesses that failure to comply with safety regulations endangers workers and can lead to unnecessary and preventable tragedy.” (source=OSHA Today news)
