# Worship, Community, and The Good Samaritan

# # Worship and Thanksgiving
- The meeting opened with extended worship, focusing on the worthiness, holiness, and sacrifice of Jesus (“Worthy is the Lamb”).
- Emphasis on gratitude for the cross, the love and forgiveness of Jesus, and encouragement for personal prayers and thanksgiving.
- Worship was framed as participation in an “eternal song” joining with angels and the heavenly hosts.
- A poem titled “The Whip, Hammer and the Cross” was read, reflecting on Jesus’ suffering and sacrifice to save humanity.

# # Welcome, Community, and Connection
- Guests and visitors were warmly welcomed; the church identified itself as unashamed in worship, uncompromising in God’s word, and relentless in love for people.
- Information was provided on joining and connecting through the “Heartbeat” class and the Connect Bar.
- Opportunities for involvement were highlighted: joining teams, small groups, and various ministries.

# # Giving and Generosity
- The importance of giving was emphasized, referencing the story of the widow’s offering (Luke 21), underscoring sacrificial rather than abundant giving.
- Multiple ways to give were explained (envelope, QR code, app, etc.), supporting both regular tithes and “Kingdom Builders” projects (including local outreach and international missions).
- Prayer was offered, focusing on stewardship and trusting God with finances.

# # Equip Classes and Upcoming Events
- Announcements for community groups, men’s and women’s ministries, and equip classes (particularly on spiritual warfare, evangelism, and freedom).
- Promotion of upcoming children’s summer camps and registration details.
- Mention of a forthcoming church conference and a special “Forge Men’s Night” featuring guest speaker Jason McQuinn.

# # Freedom Collective and Outreach
- The Freedom Collective team (James and Ali Thay) was introduced and prayed for as they embark on a series of 25 outdoor gospel crusades across 14 cities in Tennessee, with a vision of revival, city transformation, and raising future church leaders.
- Congregation encouraged to support them in sustained prayer and intercession.

# # Main Message: The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)
- The lead pastor reflected on a moving Easter service moment when the program was interrupted to address a prophetic word about someone contemplating su***de, resulting in three lives saved.
- The parable was used to challenge the church: prioritize compassion and people over religious programs and convenience.
- Key points:
- The priest and Levite represent religious leaders who failed to help due to fear, inconvenience, or concern for appearances.
- The Good Samaritan, despite being an outsider, demonstrated true love by helping the wounded man, crossing social and cultural boundaries.
- Christians are called not just to know who their neighbor is, but to “be the neighbor” by showing mercy and practical love.
- The church must seek Christ over culture, presence over performance, people over programs, and faith over fear.
- The pastor shared a deep conviction that saving lives and responding to God’s leading is more important than adhering to schedules or appearances.
- Emphasis on equipping all believers, not just leaders, to walk in spiritual power and compassion.

# # Call to Salvation and Commitment
- An invitation was extended to those present who do not follow Jesus or feel far from Him; several responded.
- The congregation prayed a prayer of salvation together, and new believers were encouraged to connect for further support.

# # Closing Prayers and Blessing
- Prayers for the Holy Spirit to guide the church in compassion, outreach, and to steward the move of God in their city.
- Call for the church to remain alive, responsive, and committed to loving the broken and lost.
- Final worship and blessing over the congregation.

# # Decisions Made
- Commitment to prioritize people and spiritual responsiveness over programming.
- Sending and praying for the Freedom Collective in their statewide outreach.

# # Action Plans
- Ongoing prayer and support for Freedom Collective’s mission.
- Encouragement for attendees to get involved in church life (Heartbeat class, communities, volunteering).
- Follow-up with those who responded to the call for salvation.

Lord, tonight I place myself before You and rest in Your embrace. The day was long, the battles were real, but now I surrender everything into Your hands.

Every worry, every burden, and every thought that tried to steal my peace… I lay at Your feet. I will not carry it alone anymore.

Holy Spirit, come now and calm my heart. Bring silence to my mind and rest to my soul. May Your presence surround me and make me feel safe, protected, and cared for by You.

I declare that this night will be filled with peace. No unrest will have space, no fear will have a voice. The Lord is with me, and that is all I need.

May my sleep be deep and restoring. And may I rise tomorrow renewed, strengthened, and filled with Your grace.

In Your embrace, I rest.
Amen.

# Palm Sunday Service & Baptisms

# # Ministry Time: Healing Prayers
- The meeting began with a time of worship and spiritual ministry. The speaker shared three specific impressions: stomach issues, bone density/cracks, and neck injuries causing headaches or migraines.
- Attendees with these conditions were invited to raise their hands for prayer, and others were encouraged to pray for them with authority in Jesus’ name.
- Those experiencing improvement were asked to test and wave, and some reported feeling better, prompting the group to thank and praise God.

**Key Points:**
- Emphasis on communal prayer for healing.
- Encouraged direct and faith-filled prayer “in the name of Jesus.”
- Acknowledged that healing can be immediate or gradual, and celebrated all improvements.

**Decisions/Actions:**
- Continue to practice and prioritize healing prayer as a regular part of church life.

---

# # Welcome and Community Connection
- Newcomers were welcomed and introduced to the leadership (Savannah Ramsey and her husband Joel), with the church described as “the friendliest church in Nashville.”
- Attendees were encouraged to connect with one another through a “two-minute connect” and make lunch plans or new friendships, especially targeting young adults.

**Key Points:**
- Welcoming atmosphere and emphasis on genuine community.
- Encouragement for everyone to be proactive in making connections.

---

# # Announcements and Church Life
- Introduction to “Heartbeat,” a program for newcomers to learn about church culture and get plugged in.

**Action Items:**

- Share and celebrate the new worship song within the community.

---

# # Offering and Generosity Teaching
- Teaching on God’s generous nature, referencing John 3:16 and Genesis, contrasting God as the giver with humanity as takers post-Fall.
- Exhortation to give freely and cheerfully, not out of compulsion, but from an understanding of God’s sufficiency and generosity (Philippians 4:12, Proverbs 11:24).
- Multiple giving methods were explained (QR code, app, text, in-person).

**Key Points:**
- Giving as a natural response to God’s generosity.
- Encouragement to develop a posture of contentment and cheerful generosity.

**Action:**
- Congregation prayed over the offering, asking for multiplication and expansion of God’s work through their giving.

---

# # Baptisms
- Celebration of two or three individuals being water baptized.
- Explanation of baptism’s meaning: union with Christ in death and resurrection, symbolizing a new creation and freedom from sin (reference to Romans and Jesus’ Great Commission).
- Invitation for others to sign up for baptisms on Good Friday or Easter Sunday.

**Key Points:**
- Baptism presented as a command of Jesus and an act of obedience and faith.
- The church holds to baptism as spiritually significant, not just symbolic.
- Encouragement to publicly celebrate baptisms as a church family.

---

# # Worship and Presence of God
- Extended time of worship and reflection on the tangible presence of God.
- Special prayers for those who have felt distant from God, inviting the Holy Spirit to make God’s presence known in a personal way.
- Reminders that worship is like incense, and God is worthy of all worship and adoration.

---

# # Palm Sunday Message: Matthew 21
- Scripture Reading: Matthew 21:1-17, recounting Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and cleansing of the temple.
- **Seven Key Lessons from Palm Sunday:**
1. **Jesus Organized His Arrival:** The entry into Jerusalem was intentional and fulfilled prophecy (Zechariah 9:9).
2. **Jesus Demands a Response:** His presence and claims mean neutrality is not an option—He is either King, a fool, or a fraud.
3. **Jesus Cleanses the Temple:** Upon entering Jerusalem, Jesus drives out corruption from the temple, symbolizing His desire to cleanse hearts and religious practices.
4. **Restoration of Pure Worship:** Jesus affirms the temple as a house of prayer, not performance or profit.
5. **Healing the Sick:** Jesus continues His ministry by healing the blind and lame, demonstrating compassion and the inclusion of the marginalized.
6. **Receiving Praise:** Jesus accepts worship as the Son of David, affirming His divinity.
7. **Exposing False Religion:** The religious leaders’ indignation reveals that one can be close to religious activity but far from God’s heart.

**Key Questions for Reflection:**
- Is Jesus a King to be crowned, a fool to be forgotten, or a fraud to be crucified?
- Are we surrendered or simply adding Jesus to our lives as a tradition?

**Call to Action:**
- Invitation for personal response: to surrender fully to Jesus, crown Him King, and move beyond dead religion or neutrality.
- Several attendees responded by raising their hands to commit/recommit their lives to Jesus, followed by a communal prayer of salvation and celebration.

---

# # Additional Topics and Observations
- The importance of prioritizing the gathering of believers and not replacing it with passive online engagement.
- Encouragement to maintain a culture of friendliness and hospitality, both in and outside of church meetings.
- Reminder that Jesus’ work in believers includes ongoing transformation, not just a one-time event.

---

# # Summary Decisions & Action Plans
- Continue to prioritize healing, worship, and generosity as central practices.
- Foster an inviting and friendly community, especially for newcomers.
- Encourage public declarations of faith through baptism and celebrate these moments.
- Challenge individuals to reflect on their response to Jesus and move from tradition to genuine discipleship.
- Promote and prepare for upcoming events: Easter, Heartbeat, and Church on Fire Conference.
