9 months pregnant vs. 6 days postpartum â¨
this is a reminder that we are not meant to âbounce back.â we, as women, grow an entire human & itâs the most important thing our bodies will ever do.
since about 2 weeks postpartum, Iâve focused on deep breathing and engaging my core to help rebuild the core muscles that were inevitably weakened by pregnancy.
since about 6 weeks postpartum, I started doing like yoga-style exercises with a core focus (there are plenty of core moves that you should NOT do postpartum, so please make sure youâre getting guidance from an educated source).
Iâm now 9 weeks postpartum and I can already see and feel the difference that not jumping right back into intense exercise has made.
Iâm now feeling like I am ready to strength train again, but I certainly will be easing into that just like everything else.
