3 years ago today, our founder Mike Sartain was discharged from rehab - We are so proud of him for pushing through the lingering temptation that goes along with this holiday, as he made it a priority to honor his sobriety.

Outlaw Grace brings healing in lyrics and melodies on your sobriety journey. This line is shared with you from our very own, Jenna. This lyric in particular comes from an unreleased song of hers that will be appearing on an upcoming release. The song is titled 27, representing the year Jenna started her own path to sobriety. In this lyric, you can hear the raw reality of how traumatic events continue to erupt in our lives, whether we want them to or not - and how we cope is our choice.

These are not just words with quotation marks on a screen posing as a daily dose of inspiration for your doom scrolling pleasure. These are real, raw lyrics from an unreleased song written by our founder, Mike Sartain.

This song "Hollow World" is an acknowledgement of where he came from, where he has been, and where he is right now. It is self compassion, presenting itself in the form of art.

Hollow World is on deck to be released in the near future - we will be sure to share that date with you. Our intention is to regularly share lyrics from these real songs and stories - songs and stories that have helped our songwriters on their sober journey, but have also helped others on theirs. Music is an universal language. Music heals.

A message from Mike welcoming our new CCO Jenna:

When I started Outlaw Grace, I knew I was going to need some serious help. I joked with my wife that the universe had better send me a “special person” or I was absolutely fu**ed. As the company grew from something that lived in my head into something tangible, I kept a sharp eye out for The Special Person. Because that’s literally the job description.

Sure, someone who is talented and creative and can get the ideas in my head( that’s a weird place) onto your screen or t shirt. More importantly, though, someone who understood the message. Someone who’s both lived the nightmare and seen the sunrise who was willing to turn their pain into something powerful.

Jenna is The Special Person.

A talented performer, (like actually!) you can catch her onstage in Nashville both solo and as frontwoman for The K***s.

She’ll eventually be sharing her own powerful story with her music under the Outlaw Grace flag.
