Preparing for ceremony is HUGE! How we prepare can have a massive effect on the ceremony experience itself.

Here are some ways that we like to prepare. Join us and sit with the leaders of the Kuntanawa tribe from the Amazon for ceremony May 9th-11th:

🌿 Set Your Intentions 🌿

Take time to reflect on why you’re sitting with the medicine. A clear, heartfelt intention helps guide your journey and opens you to receive deeper healing. Once you have set your intention…let it go! This is essential. You’ll receive what you need, not necessarily what you want. TRUST in that!

🌿 Prepare Your Body and Space 🌿

Follow a clean diet prior to ceremony - avoid processed foods, alcohol, & caffeine (and others). Pay attention to what you “ingest” in ALL ways. What thoughts are you dwelling on? What kind of media are you watching? What people are you surrounding yourself with? Create a clear vessel for the work to be done in ceremony.

🌿 Create Inner Stillness 🌿

Meditate, journal, & spend time in nature in the days leading up to ceremony. This helps you drop in more easily and stay grounded during the ceremony. Creating an inner environment and sense of calm aligns you with the kind of energy you want to carry in to ceremony space.

🌿 Release Expectations 🌿

Every ceremony is unique. Let go of needing it to look a certain way and trust that the medicine will give you exactly what you need. Let go of expectations: of what you will receive, of what you will feel, see or experience. This is part of the medicine ‘work’ or ‘lesson’ as we are so conditioned to live in expectation (or even subtle demands) about how life unfolds for us.

🌿 Honor the Process 🌿

Approach the experience with reverence and respect. This is a SACRED communion - treat it as such, and the medicine will meet you with grace. Honor our Plant Kingdom brothers and sisters and the many gifts that they bring to you. Gratitude is key, always.
