Stress isn’t just about “stress eating.” Your body is running a full physiological response behind the scenes!!

So important to understand to take into account all these facets of health & well-being.

it’s called balance

There’s so much misinformation online… let me help clear things up!!!

A few things I wouldn’t recommend:

• Ultra-processed snacks marketed as “hormone balancing.” Most of them are just expensive packaged foods with clever branding. Hormones respond to nutrient density.

• Skipping breakfast. Your blood sugar and cortisol are already more sensitive during perimenopause. Starting the day without fuel can set off a cascade of cravings, fatigue, and afternoon energy crashes.

• Anything that spikes blood sugar without protein to slow it down. Think pastries, cereal, or fruit alone. Insulin resistance often begins during this stage of life, and how you build meals matters more than ever.

So important to support stable blood sugar, stable energy, and muscle and metabolism as hormones shift.

This is exactly what I help women do.

GLP-1 receptor agonist medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro are still very new territory — especially when it comes to nutrition!!

Most people get the prescription, but little guidance on how to eat to protect muscle, prevent deficiencies, support metabolism, & offer a long-term solution.

If you’re on a GLP-1, don’t guess your way through it.

Book a discovery call at the link in my bio and let’s build a plan that actually supports your body.

Why I don’t track calories as a dietitian…

Because nutrition isn’t just numbers. Especially for women experience hormone changes & during perimenopause, your body is changing — hormones, energy needs, digestion, and overall wellbeing all shift. Focusing only on calories can make eating feel stressful or restrictive, which is the opposite of what we want.

That said, tracking or logging food can still be helpful for some clients. It’s a tool to:
• Spot patterns in energy, mood, or digestion
• Understand portions without guessing
• Identify nutrient gaps affecting sleep, hormones, or workouts

Calories are just one very small piece of the puzzle & unimportant as a standalone metric 🥗✨

Studies show that many people living with IBS say they would trade 10–15 years of their life expectancy for an instant cure.

Many of my clients have been told “it’s just IBS” but it’s so dismissive because it can affect every part of daily life:
• constant bloating
• unpredictable symptoms
• anxiety around food
• planning your day around the bathroom

If you live with IBS, you know it’s so much more than just “stomach issues.”

And if this is you — please know there are ways to improve symptoms and quality of life with the right nutrition strategy. You don’t have to just live with it.
