Please join the President and Membership of the Eliza Pillars Registered Nurses of Mississippi in extending our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. LaWanda Baskin on her recent appointment to the Mississippi Board of Nursing.

Dr. Baskin, Executive Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor in the Southern Miss College of Nursing and Health Professions, brings a wealth of experience in both clinical practice and academic leadership to this esteemed role. As a board member representing nursing education, she will play a vital part in shaping the rules and policies that govern nursing practice and education throughout Mississippi.

Her passion for advancing the nursing profession is evident in her tireless dedication to teaching and mentoring the next generation of nurse leaders. From undergraduate instruction to guiding doctoral students through complex research and scholarly development, Dr. Baskin continues to leave a lasting impact on the field of nursing.

We celebrate this well-deserved recognition and stand in full support of her continued efforts to uplift and empower nurses across our state.
