We think about and pray for you often. You must have incredible strength and love to even consider the selfless act of adoption. We want you to know that no matter what you decide, your Heavenly Father loves you and we hope that you can find comfort and support in knowing this. Some people call adoption a miracle and it is, but it is also a gift. This gift comes wrapped in sacrifice, bound with love, and endlessly blesses the lives of the receiver and the giver. In adoption it is often the gift itself that receives the most, because it was given and received out of the purest love. Our beginning:
Our story begins at a wedding, but not our own. Luckily all the weddings Jordan was attending finally paid off when it happened to be our mutual friends. We talked about wearing retainers and not having cell phones and somehow we still made it to our first date. From then on we spent as much time as we possibly could together. One snowy night Jordan got down on one knee and proposed, the answer was YES of course! We will soon be celebrating our tenth anniversary. Wow how time flies. The story gets better... on March 25th, 2010 Hayden came into our world and changed our lives forever. We went from movie night to bath night; from unwind time to story time. And we loved it. We adopted Hayden on March 27th, 2010 and I can never forget holding him in my arms, and for the first time in my life I knew that I too was a mother. Hayden was born with the sweetest soul and has a natural desire to protect others. He is shy and kind just like his birth mother, Britney. She is part of our family. Camden was our surprise baby, and although he challenged Erin’s health, she pulled through. He was born April 29, 2013 and we can say he was worth the trial, to get him here. He is our comedian and keeps things light. He and Hayden are the perfect balance and like to keep us on our toes. It has been a blast and each day offers its challenges and joys but we continue to look forward to living every step of it together. About Us:
I would hope that you could have the opportunity to meet Erin. She has the brightest personality and the biggest smile in the world. Erin is a friend to many; it doesn’t matter if you’re 8 or 80, she is always going out of her way to make someone feel included. I envy the way she makes new acquaintances so easily and quickly. It is incredible to watch Erin as a mother; the love and dedication she has for her children is such an amazing thing to be a part of. I often see Erin singing or dancing with the kids. She is always up for fun and adventure. Erin has been such an amazing support to me, always encouraging me to further my education, work hard but play hard and do worthwhile things. Erin is very active; she loves to hike, go camping, vacation, run, swim, ride her bike, wakeboard, snowboard, cook, paint, and spend time with her friends and family. She loves to write poems and has written her own children’s book. Erin has a strong spirit and when she puts her mind to something, she does not give up. She is an amazing wife, mother, teacher, and my best friend. Every day I think I must have done something really great to have deserved such a wonderful husband. He is consistent through the good times and the difficult times. We share lots of laughter, tears, challenges, and all our successes together. Jordan is one of the most selfless and giving people I know. When I was working and Hayden was still waking up in the middle of the night Jordan would volunteer to go and feed him his bottle, just so I could have a couple extra hours of sleep. He still does stuff like this, offers to help people move furniture, get the kids ready for bed, or will go to the grocery store. His nature is genuinely patient, honest, kind, and hard working. He is an amazing father. I know that one thing he has to offer that is of great value is his love; he gives it freely and unconditionally every day. He gives all of himself to me and our family. I know this will only increase as our family does. I am so lucky to be his wife. Adoption:
We are so blessed to have Hayden, we know that he was meant to be our son and especially meant to be Camden’s brother. He is the most beautiful gift. Erin has health problems that cause complication in pregnancy, so adoption is a true miracle to us. We want to take a moment to express our love for both Hayden’s birth parents. Hayden knows his birth mother, and calls her Britney and mom. She is an angel to our family, and will always be a member of it. The Present:
We feel very fortunate to be able to spend as much time together as we do. Jordan is currently working as a regional human resources manager for his company and has had several promotions since he started for them in 2011. Erin is a full time domestic engineer (mom) having a blast, and enjoying the flexibility of being at home with Hayden and Camden. That aside, family life is not always picture perfect but the hard times will never compete with the sweet moments. Life is busy and we are each other’s friends we do everyday things together even cleaning and laundry. Though, as much as we work we play. We hit up the local trampoline park, go on bike rides, and grab a bite to eat. Our love for each other grows more and more as we grow and try to become like our Savior Jesus Christ. We will never know what you have gone through or what it took for you to consider this decision but we want you to be assured that we would want you and your family to have every chance to have an open relationship with us and your child. It is important to us to help you through this time and communicate to you our desires as well as hear yours. We want our children to have every chance to be raised by a loving mother and father and to provide a home and future that is endless with opportunity. Thank you for learning about our family and we pray that you will find peace as you find the right family for your child. Love,
Jordan and Erin
