Wrapping up another successful Apparatus Operations class!

Students from Fort Walton Beach Fire Department Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District Pace Fire-Rescue District North Okaloosa Fire District Skyline Fire District Escambia County Fire Rescue and Midway Fire District are one day (and a final exam) away from completing the course.

Students have spent the last couple days performing pump operations ranging from simple booster tank operations to culminating in flowing over 3000 Gallons Per Minute in the final scenario today.

They have learned important skills such as booster backup, hydrant change overs, pumping multiple size and length hose lines, drafting, jet assist multiple dump tank drafting operations, tandem pumping, relay pumping, and dual pumping to name a few.

A special thank you to Chief Robbie Whitfield and the crews at the PFRD for accommodating the class, providing the apparatus and for supporting the mission of providing this training to our local firefighters!
