Hey friends! Long time no see! I’ve not been posting to keep my weight-loss journey a secret. I’ve just taken a mental break from social media bc I’ve learned that it can be very triggering to my eating disorder. So this time when I decided to lose weight, I decided to do it my way and not have the stress of living up to unrealistic expectations I have been known to put on myself to make sure I don’t feel like I’m letting others down. I’ve struggled with binging and purging since I was 13-14 years old. I’ll never forget the day I made high school majorette and was so proud of myself. As soon as it was announced , our coach called me in the office to tell me I had to figure out a way to lose weight immediately because it wasn’t fair to the other girls that I was bigger and it would effect the uniforms that they would be able to wear. I was humiliated. I was too ashamed to talk to anyone about it and immediately my struggle with bulimia began. I was purging up to 5 times a day and lost a lot of weight in high school which my coach praised. I no longer purge but struggled with the binge eating part of the binge and purge cycle which caused me to gain A LOT of weight. Having an ED is hard but I was determined to get the weight off this time for good. I’ve currently lost 100 pounds in 10 months. Everyone has been asking how and now I’m ready to share. I lost 45 pounds naturally on my own. But with hashimotos and my spinal injury, my weight came to a stall. My doctor suggested taking wegovy & I lost the other 55 w/ diet & exercise. In January my BCBS made my wegovy which I was getting for free, change to being $550 so I no longer take it. Taking shots and pills are very controversial I’m aware. But just because you take them doesn’t mean you don’t have to put in the work to see results. Because trust me you do. My goal is to lose 40 more pounds because I want to be fit and forty!! I’m proud of myself for how far I’ve come and determined to get where I want. Also, if your like Maranda WTH is on ur head- that’s a GI Joe helmet my 3 year old nephew asked me to put on my head, so OF COURSE I did 😂😂.
