The Nevada Middle School 8th grade students brought smiles to our residents while delivering decorated pumpkins. The interactions while telling Halloween jokes and passing out greeting cards was as if these residents were their own grandparents. So nice to see the intergenerational relationships! The residents enjoyed armchair travel to the Hawaiian Islands! We shared information on a variety of stops that a cruise ship makes when traveling from island to island and sampled some treats with a tropical touch. We had a few residents share their memories of the attractions they saw when they took a trip to Hawaii years ago.

Today the 2nd grade students from Nevada Elementary school visited the tenants at Indian Creek Independent and Assisted Living. Students came to play UNO with the tenants as well as interview tenants on their favorite memories throughout their lifetimes. It was an enjoyable afternoon with plenty of laughs and smiles. The tenants look forward to another visit from the students in the near future.
