Our Sip and Paint project was based off of a sunflower with each resident putting their own little flare to their canvas. We finished up with cute floral decorated cupcakes and ice cream. Kit with Wesley Life helped us with our painting project and brought in flowers for the nurses and pizza for the staff and Suncrest Hospice donated the ice cream for our treats! We always appreciate the outpouring of support we receive from our colleagues!

We continue to embrace the "Moments In Bloom" theme for National Skilled Nursing Care Week by learning how to arrange flowers with Chris Clark, owner of The Flower Bed. Each resident followed along step-by-step and then took their vase back to their room to enjoy them for the upcoming days. Jim Quales provided live music for us which is always a treat!

Gardening is good for the soul and planting during National Skilled Nursing Care Week was icing on the cake. The theme this year is "Moments in Bloom" so it just seemed fitting.

The SDA students and educators lent a hand to make this a success. Even Marley, our facility dog got in on the action!

Also a big shout out to St.Croix for hydrating us with La Croix and educating our staff on the benefits of hospice services!

Star Wars was the featured film during our "Matinee Monday" so we had to go all in and celebrate May the Fourth be With You! We had giveaways for the staff and served extra treats with the popcorn. The treats included light sabers (corn puffs), edible Ewoks (teddy grahams), and Hans Rolos. Our beverage was Vader-ade.

Bingo was a hoot today with all of our extra help! Nevada High School students and faculty show up big time with their "Day of Service" every year and help out around the facility. We had a group help us with Bingo, a group help at Indian Creek Assisted Living and another group deliver swag bags to each resident. What a great day of outreach!

Hands down we have the BEST volunteers around!

Rolling Green Village appreciates all the individuals that help us throughout the year. Some help with Bingo, others pull library books and many are church volunteers providing bible study, devotions, and communion - they all serve a special purpose.

Thank you to the community for making the Rolling Green Village/Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt a huge success! The temps outside were a bit chilly but the kids ran after those eggs and had no problem warming up. The babies inside melted the hearts of the residents as they crawled around on the search for their treats!

Jeopardy, treats, and trivia. We all learned a little more about traditions, bunnies, candy, spiritual background, etc for our spring holiday, Easter. What starts out as games usually leads to reminiscing among peers which means so much more than winning prizes. The students from the Seventh Day Adventist Church helped our residents and brought some paper floral arrangements. What great kids!
