5 Signs It Might Be Time to Seek Help for Anxiety & Stress
1. You feel “on edge” most of the time
Not just during stressful moments, but regularly. Your mind feels busy, your body feels tense, and it’s hard to fully relax, even during downtime.
2.Your body is starting to carry the stress
Frequent headaches, trouble sleeping, stomach issues, jaw clenching, fatigue, racing heart, or feeling constantly overstimulated can all be signs that stress is impacting more than just your thoughts.
3. You’re functioning, but barely
A lot of people experiencing anxiety still go to work, take care of others, and keep everything moving. But internally, it may feel exhausting just to get through the day.
4. You’ve started withdrawing or avoiding things
You may notice yourself canceling plans, procrastinating, avoiding conversations, or feeling overwhelmed by things that used to feel manageable.
5. Your coping tools aren’t working like they used to
Maybe you’ve tried pushing through, staying busy, distracting yourself, or “waiting for things to calm down,” but it still feels heavy or hard to manage alone.
Seeking support does not mean things have to be falling apart first. Sometimes therapy simply gives you space to understand what’s going on beneath the surface and learn healthier ways to manage it.
At Renewed Wellness Counseling, we take a whole-person approach to mental health care and work to help clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.
