Let’s bust a myth: Being super flexible does not mean you’re strong, safe, or advanced in yoga. In fact, if you’re hypermobile, that “deep” pose you’re nailing might actually be your body waving a white flag.

Truth is, hypermobile folks don’t need more stretch—we need more stability.

🔐 Stability means controlling the range of motion we already have.
🔐 It means activating muscles that are used to zoning out.
🔐 It means moving slower, with more intention.

If you’re used to being the bendy one in class, this mindset shift might feel weird at first. But building strength around your joints is how you avoid pain, injury, and that infamous post-yoga crash.

Want to feel stronger than you look? Prioritize control over range every single time.

If you live with hypermobility or a connective tissue disorder, inflammation can feel like a constant background buzz: joint pain, brain fog, bloating, fatigue. 😣

Good news: you don’t need a 30-step detox plan to fight it.

Try these 3 low-inflammation swaps:
🥥 Coconut oil instead of canola oil – rich in healthy fats that are less oxidizing
🌾 Jasmine rice instead of quinoa – easier on the gut, especially for histamine-sensitive folks
🍓 Fresh berries instead of dried fruit – fewer preservatives, more hydration, and less sugar spike

Also, if you’re sensitive to histamines, try freezing your meat right after purchase and cooking fresh herbs instead of dried ones.

You don’t have to eat “perfectly.”
You just need to eat in a way that supports the body you live in—messy pantry and all.

One of the top supplements I recommend for anyone dealing with hypermobility, connective tissue issues, or “tired but wired” syndrome: Magnesium Glycinate.

Why glycinate? It’s one of the most absorbable forms of magnesium and also supports your nervous system.
💤 It helps calm overstimulated nerves
🌀 It eases muscle cramps and twitches
🧠 It supports mood and sleep
🦴 And yes—it even helps with collagen production and bone health

Most people are magnesium deficient and don’t even know it. If you’re constantly feeling sore, jittery, or just… off, this could be your missing mineral.

Of course, talk to your doc before adding anything new. But if you’re looking for a supplement that packs a powerful chill-out punch? This is a good one to explore.
