Employee Spotlight: Mindy

Mindy brings so much light into Beckett House every day. Whether she’s helping with activities, sharing a laugh, or greeting residents, coworkers, and visitors with her warm smile, she has a way of making everyone around her feel welcomed.

She shared that what keeps her motivated each day is simple: she loves what she does and loves helping our residents. And something you may not know about Mindy? She loves fast cars and has driven several of them!

We’re so thankful for Mindy’s kindness, positivity, and caring spirit. She truly helps make Beckett feel like home. 💛

We’re so thankful to have had the opportunity to volunteer at the annual senior picnic alongside the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center and spend time with over 200 seniors in attendance. A big thank you for welcoming Beckett House and allowing us to be part of such a meaningful day.

Meet Joe, a happy-go-lucky, funny man who always seems to be in good spirits. When asked what advice he would give to younger generations, Joe said, “take serious things seriously!” And when asked what always makes him smile or brings him joy, his answer was simple: “Life, itself!”

That really says so much about who Joe is. He has such a positive outlook and a welcoming spirit, and he is truly one of the nicest people you could meet. It’s easy to see why he brings so much warmth to those around him.

We’re so happy to share a little bit of Joe’s story and celebrate the kind heart and joyful personality that make him such a special part of this community. 💛

To wrap up National Nursing Home Week, everyone enjoyed a happy hour, a fun photo booth, and a special birthday celebration for Renée and Jane.

It was such a sweet way to close out a week full of fun, laughter, and time together. While National Nursing Home Week gave us even more reasons to celebrate, the joy, care, and community shared here are things that are felt every single day. 💛

“Beckett House is a wonderful place to be if you need care.”

We’re so grateful to Nellie Moorhead for sharing such kind words about her experience. She shared that our staff is “very good,” that she is “very excited for therapy,” and that she had heard great things about Beckett House before even arriving.
