My last visitor of the day 🦉he stayed for about 45 minutes and watched me walk in and out of the door several times. So grateful to finally see one in the wild 💜and a baby to boot 🦉🦉

Gregg and I officially completed the last finishing touches on my office tonight 💜 October 16th was my move in day into my room last year after a few months of operation tiny house. I'm 100% satisfied with my new office and have never worked so hard on creating something in my life. One of my patients said to me this week that they loved my new office much more than my office downtown which made my day.
Now that the chicken coop office is complete, I think it's time to plan a support group or two again 💜

Dear patients, just an FYI that my favorite Oakley resident Steve Tkaczyk is currently working on hauling gravel and redoing the driveway for us. Please feel free to drive through the grass along the driveway to my parking lot if you arrive and he is busy working on it or if there are gravel trains in the way 💜 thank you!

Day one of the fair down! Mr Kenneth Eickholt took Reserve Grand Champion with his gilt! We are all so proud of him and his fair projects! I can't express enough how much 4H and FFA involvement are life changing experiences for our youth 💜

Just a reminder I'm out of the office this week for the Shiawassee County Fair and will resume normal business hours the following Monday! My wonderful husband finished painting the south side of the barn roof this week 💜 What an amazing transformation restoring this cute little barn and it's 100 year old original roof. That little barn has been one of my favorites since I was a child and to see this space tranformed into what it is now makes my heart so happy 💜💜 Its amazing what you can accomplish is 365 days if you put your soul into it 💜💜
Just your reminder that no matter how ugly or broken things can become, we can always start over to make things beautiful again 💜

Finished up my final flip for the waiting room on Monday and added it this afternoon when I had a break. I scooped up this beautiful vintage ice cream parlor table and chairs set over the weekend from my wonderful neighbors and self care for me ALWAYS includes sand paper, a palm sander, grinder and wire wheel 😂 she looks as good as new now! Even added a few gaudy footstools that reminded me of my late grandmother who is my inspiration behind my eclectic decor 💜

A few pics of our weekend progress 💜 almost there! Unbelievable that we started with just a roof. The original chicken coop was built in 1930 by great grandfather, Joseph Eickholt who moved to this farm from Delphos Ohio with his parents and siblings in 1892. In the 1930s this building housed 1000 leghorn chickens a year for many years with their poultry enterprise. In the early 60s, my grandparents turned it into a house and lived in it for one year with my father and uncle while they built the house where I currently live. Years following, the coop housed multiple farmhands and their families who helped my grandfather with working on the farm until my grandma filled it with her beloved antiques later in life. I spent many hours playing in there as a child, pilfering through all of her treasures. In 2013 my husband and I converted it to a pavillion due to it deteriorating and we had many parties, birthdays and even signed our marriage certificate under that roof after we got married in my great grandparents back yard in 2018. 94 years later after its original construction, we took the remaining bones and created it into this 👇 So much history here and Im so thankful I can share this beautiful space with my patients and to provide them a completely different therapy experience 🥰
