March 26th is International Myeloma Action Day! On this day I am asking our family and friends to wear the color burgundy to raise awareness of this incurable blood cancer that David was diagnosed with in August 2020. It’s what took his kidneys out! Let’s raise awareness together of this disease, advocate for early detection, ensure treatment options are available worldwide, and seek further research to find a cure! It’s March 1st and you know what that means…it’s the start of National Kidney Month! 💚 World Kidney Day is on Thursday, March 12th this year and I’m asking all of our family and friends to wear green on this day to show your support for kidney transplant patients and kidney donors!! 💚 We are so grateful for our donor and friend, Chris who donated his kidney and gave David a second chance at life! Today was so special!! Happy 1 year kidneyversary to David and Christopher! 1 year ago today Chris gave the most incredible gift to David…a kidney!!!! Today our families came together once again to celebrate this milestone! Our family will live in gratitude for Chris’s sacrifice and inconceivable generosity forever! We love you Chris!! ♥️

Day +295: Yesterday was chemo day and David was happy to have a visitor along with him! Love ya son! ♥️ Just a quick little update…we had a visit with his transplant nephrologist this week and in her words she said, “Dave, you received a rockstar kidney!” She said to him that he is such an unusual case having had multiple myeloma and he is doing even better than most kidney transplant patients at this stage. She and his team are extremely impressed with the progress! It doesn’t get much better than that! We are so thankful to Jesus! 🥹 Jesus is the giver of all life. Without Him we would not be here today. He is the creator. He made me, He saved me and He sustains me! 🙌🏻 Please always keep our dearest friend and donor lifted up in your prayers. He deserves all the good things in life! Christopher you are a rockstar and such a blessing! ♥️

The One Kidney Club! Currently they are in their transplant warrior era! 💚 We are just 1 week out from their 6 month post kidney transplant! Blessed to have celebrated this milestone yesterday evening over dinner and laughs with both guys! Seems just like yesterday we were in the hospital preparing for surgery, but here we are with 6 months passed with a brand new kidney and a lifetime of gratitude! It takes a big heart to donate an organ to a friend, let alone a stranger! Be like Chris! Become an organ donor and share your spare! ♥️
