FAITH’S MEASURE AGAINST PRESSURES II

Everyone born of God is endued with the eternal capacities and capabilities to overcome the world. Our faith is the victory that has overcome the world (1 John 5:4-5)because it is anchored on Christ and not on the wisdom of men (1 Corinthians 2:5).

This is why we are not helpless and hopeless when stock markets crash, inflation charges hard like a many-headed dragon to make a mess of economies, currencies fail and politicians stand at akimbo because they are obviously confused and do not know what to do. The craziness is more serious than ten thousand mad dogs caged and starved.

This is for my brethren out there in the world, dutifully serving the Lord, having to let go and let God in order to win by righteousness, yet, pressed on every side but not crushed because greater is He that in us than he that is in the world.

This is for my brethren who, against all odds, have chosen to serve God and not mammon and suffer the most vicious persecution as a result of their resolve. The Lord is making a way for you in high places, He is pleading your cause and causing favour to embrace you round about, and He is opening doors for you that men or devils cannot shut.

This is for my co-labourers in the Lord’s vineyard, whose names and faces are not known, who have to deal with the harsh realities of slender resources in distant lands and shores, but joyfully dispense their kingdom duties by hoisting the banner of the kingdom of God and His righteousness, in their territories. The great Lord of the harvest sees you and has reserved incorruptible glories for you on account of your labours.

This is for you, my dear reader, who have been pressured in more ways than one, beyond the threshold of the resilience of your humanity and feel you could crack, snap and break down any moment from now. Hold on. Get your faith up. Your victory is here, delivered by the Holy Ghost Himself. Take it now in Jesus’ mighty name!
