and you know what? I fell off the wagon.
Let me explain:
Years ago I entered a very toxic relationship that I tried to delulu myself into thinking wasn't as bad as it was... by the time I woke up from THAT nightmare, my reality was that I had tried 5 different depression/bipolar medicines, gained 50lbs in a year's worth of time from the medicines and bad eating habits brought on by said depression & relationship stress, and also was then struggling with severe emotional trauma and binge eating sugar addiction habits. All of this made my depression WAY worse and my ADHD symptoms worse as well. The only good thing that happened in that time is the lifelong friends I made from Aspen Clinic, getting my second degree from LSU, and going through DBT therapy to learn the skills that FINALLY got me OUT of that relationship.
Currently: I'm FU***NG FANTASTIC! I'm in the healthiest relationship I've ever been in, my trauma issues are working on being reversed, I'm losing weight (slowly but surely), not constantly bloated and feeling disgusting, I'm craving less sugar and eating less sugar overall, eating better and healthier food options, my ADHD symptoms are being reduced and my depression feels like a dream I woke up from.
The difference? The things I let into my life.
My priorities: my happiness, my gut health, my brain health, my communication skills, my emotional intelligence, learning about my finances & how to handle them, removing toxic people from my life, accepting people who love me no matter what, biohacking my way to less ADHD and depression symptoms, trying a depression medicine I hadn't tried (because you can't just give up on medicine)...
And I FINALLY feel like I found the perfect combination of what makes me feel my healthiest (ED & functional π, π₯₯ collagen, MCTs, pre-probiotics π¦ , digestive enzymes, and a little caffeine βοΈ). This account will be dedicated to those things and this healthy lifestyle I'm trying to document more of.
