I’m not sure if it’s because my birthday was this week or if it’s because, very recently, I celebrated the anniversary of the accident that God saved me from, but, each year, including this one, I start seeing a lot of memories, including pictures, of the time right after the accident while I was admitted to multiple trauma hospitals.
Most people can’t believe the fact that I love reading each of the memories and seeing all of the pictures.
My husband, family and friends and my dancing family, the Mande Milkshakers, stepped up for Joseph and me during the most trying time of our lives. While I do not remember any specific activities that were put on during that time or many of the visitors who drove hoursand hours time and time again, but, I have all of the memories and pictures that Facebook supplies which shows me how the rest of the world was living during the time that I was fighting to come back and relive in this world again.A hashtag ( ) was created for the updates and posts that people would post about me during this time. One of my favorite things to do is to read all of the updates, posts and see the pictures of my hospital rooms and see the people who visited me.
Not that any surprised me, but I am so thankful for all who came to Texas to check on me. I’m sure I didn’t say it to you at the time, but if you were one of those people, I thank you all for the love and support you showed to Joseph and me! I hope What I’ve been through will never happen to you, but should anyone that I know experiences any type of trauma, I promise to treat you to the highest way that I was treated.
