When you’re having a difficult time, brainstorm ways to do only one thing differently. Choose an option and do that one thing. It can be completely silly, but try it. For example, only argue while standing in the bath tub. Or sing a children’s song to lighten things up. Imagine how a Disney character or a muppet would handle the situation. The possibilities are endless and they change the way you are showing up.
