National Entrepreneurs Day

My embracing of wellness started within me after my mom received a double lung transplant in 2013. The doctors gave her an expiration date of 5 years. Having a diagnoses that your body may reject one of your major body parts affected her and us. Mom experienced a few mild rejections having to go into the hospital for anti-rejection infusions which seemed to happen on a holiday every time. Thanksgiving Christmas was spent in the hospital some years. We were grateful to have mom and also sad she was not able to enjoy life with us. She needed quality of life and it sparked an interest in me.

Years following the surgery, I was at Que Rico! Cuban Cafe for dinner and saw a water presentation “not all water is created equal”. It got me thinking. The owner of Que Rico! restaurant was a nursing mother that was experiencing lactation issues with not supplying enough milk and her baby was experiencing colic. Once she switched to Kangen ionized water her milk supply was plentiful and her baby no longer experienced the digestive pains of colic.

The gentleman presenting offered a water share with me. The water was delivered to my doorstep. I could taste and feel the difference in my body as the water is best described as highly thirst quenching. My grandmother experienced health issues with a spastic colon, after I introduced her to the Kangen ionized water, it resolved her digestive issues. This moved me to want to invest in living water for me and my family.

I am passionate about educating my community and providing a source for the products I have experienced and believe in. In 2018 I opened a brick and mortar water share location. Then end of 2021 after Covid the lease was up for renewal when I decided to be full time entrepreneur leaving my finance career to work exclusively online. I am still connecting with my community with my online presence, volunteering, and participating in local groups.

Another pivotal introduction that ignited my entrepreneurial venture was to 4Life Immune Research Company. December 2019 a friend introduced me to 4Life transfer factors. She presented the science to me as the missing link to what was going to help my mom. I started looking into the transfer factors and quickly realized that there was something incredible about these molecules BUT the one group of people not able to take transfer factors are live organ transplant patients. This group of individuals has to suppress their immune systems so their body does not recognize the cell as non self cells and reject the organ. Angela Bertone was the lady I was told to follow as she was educating others on the science behind TF. On facebook I friended Angela and started watching her content. That December Angela was holding a Heart Reframing retreat at Rosaryville Retreat Center and Public Cemetery in Pontchatoula. That weekend retreat changed each of us that were there. I work with some of the ladies today. This was a truly heart reframing experience. Y'all the property itself has been in the hands of consecrated religious since 1890, when it was purchased by the Benedictine Fathers. The Spanish Dominican Friars took over the property in 1911, christening it “Rosaryville.” In 1939 Rosaryville became the novitiate and retirement home of the Dominican Sisters, Congregation of St. Mary (now the Dominican Sisters of Peace). The property is also home to two historic cemeteries: the Dominican Friars’ Cemetery and the Dominican Sisters’ Cemetery, as well as a public cemetery established in 2017. That weekend I found much inner peace while grieving hurts from my past that were affecting my present and growing closer to my identity as a child of God. That weekend I got to know Angela Bertone as a spiritual cardiologist and emotion coach. I learned a new way of seeing and hearing my Father.

After that weekend I was still wrapping my mind around what the transfer factor molecule was and how it could benefit me and my family. I started taking the molecule right before Covid became a reality. At first I started taking the transfer factors for the acne I was experiencing on my face. Then I noticed my seasonal allergies were non existent and that I was getting through cold and flu season without the need for antibiotics and steroids and over the counter meds like Nyquil and Mucinex. All the while I am sharing water and presenting the difference between bottled, tap, filtered, and ionized water.

Then I realized I could manage my hyper immune disease hidradenitis suppurativa that had been incorrectly diagnosed as another skin condition, such as worsening acne and boils. Once I started taking transfer factors I soon realized this was my missing link in balancing my wellness.

My daughter Remy was frequently getting sick also needing rounds of antibiotics to knock out ear infections she continued to get. We had the nebulizer machine running in our household constantly and had just got referred to see the ENT to explore tubes being put in Remy's ears and removal of tonsil adenoids. Not sure why I needed to get to this point to start giving Remy the transfer factors, however, at this point is when I started giving them to her daily. Remy started taking transfer factors, digestive enzymes, and pre/o biotics. She has not had an ear infection or infection that has needed antibiotics since that day almost 2 years ago. This is a big win and blessing. We did not need to visit the ENT or have any body parts removed. That was the turning point when I started educating others on supplements to educate and support the immune system.

When I first started on my entrepreneurial path I could not see myself completely walking away from the corporate world, the career I put time and energy toward building as a financial advisor, the perks of a benefit package and steady income. It felt like an identity crisis to leave a path that I worked so hard at accomplishing. Then along the journey I started to put my identify as a child of God and realize I was meant for another path. I am not saying anything bad about the path I was on except that I was being called in another direction. The way life unfolded the only path that made sense was to go all in on leading a life as an entrepreneur.

I am grateful for ALL my life experiences to have happened to guide me to where I am today. A healthy gut might just be the key to a happier, more balanced mental state.

Why Should We Prioritize Gut Health with Pre/o Biotics?

Sustainability efforts of 4Life are just one of the many reasons I enjoy working with this company as an affiliate.

All 4Life hard plastic is recyclable. We stamp the universal logo on the bottom of every bottle. Many of our paper boxes (RioVida®, 4Life Transfer Factor® Collagen, and Energy Go Stix® cartons) are made of recyclable paper sourced from a privately-owned sustainable forest. Although there is laminated and non recyclable packaging on some of our products, we are working toward 100% recyclability with all our packaging.

"Are you thirsty?"

Just as God gave you a natural instinct to drink water to maintain your life, He also put a spiritual thirst in you to see your dreams fulfilled and to pursue goals. But when we’ve gone through disappointments and setbacks, it’s easy to lose our thirst. We used to be passionate about being the best at our job, starting a business, meeting the right person, but we’ve settled where we are, thinking that it’s not meant to be. But God didn’t create you to live in mediocrity, to just go through the motions of life. You have to get thirsty again.

Today’s Scripture says that if you’re going to see good things—healing, breakthroughs, and favor—you have to stay thirsty. That means you have to keep believing for your dreams, keep expecting new doors to open, keep declaring favor over your children, keep speaking promises over your health. God didn’t put a dream in your heart that He can’t bring to pass. There’s not a problem you’re in that He can’t solve. The question is, Are you thirsty?

“Father, thank You for the thirst You put in me to see my dreams fulfilled and to pursue the right goals. Thank You that I can live my life passionately, with zeal in my heart to become all You created me to be. I believe that You will satisfy me with good things. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

The web of tissues linking our muscles could hold the key to improved well-being.

I'm a firm believer in fascia therapy, particularly the effectiveness of cupping. I've witnessed its transformative effects on myself, my dad dealing with back injuries, and even my grandmother in her eighties.
