We would like to publicly thank NAMI Southeast Louisiana and CAARD for partnering with NOLA Recovery Collective during our second annual “What’s Love Got to Do With It?” Community Classroom held on February 21, 2026.

A special thank you to Mrs. Gladys Campbell of NAMI Southeast Louisiana for sharing vital mental health resources with our community. Her presentation provided clarity, direction, and real pathways to support.

We also want to recognize Ms. Nyla Christian, Director of CAARD, for her continued leadership and advocacy in advancing culturally responsive addiction recovery and community healing. Her commitment to strengthening families and promoting holistic recovery makes a lasting difference.

Events like this remind us that healing requires collaboration. When organizations come together — mental health, addiction recovery, faith, and community leadership — real change happens.

Together, we are reducing stigma, strengthening relationships, and creating space for second chances.

NOLA Recovery Collective showed up and showed out at MHSD’s Annual Recovery Walk and Fishing Rodeo on May 24, 2025!

From casting lines to connecting lives, we celebrated the power of recovery, resilience, and community under the Louisiana sun. We came to represent what thriving in recovery looks like.

As a guest on “The Good Morning Show”, Reverend Dr. Gordon will share about the upcoming Men in Recovery: Breaking Stigma & Building Strength event, set for Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Us Helping Us Community Center.
