tonight’s warm veggie bowl🥰 sautéed garlicky kale, crispy baked sweet potato, tofu and lentils! would’ve been perfect with my lemon garlic tahini sauce but ya girl is out of tahini so I’m adding some balsamic instead. I got my classes for December!! I decided to go with Romney and I am stoked 🤩 it’s my favorite studio I’ve ever been to and I can’t wait to go to more! Tonight I went to spin and I’m pretty sure I’ll barely be able to walk for the next 2 days so that’s lit. lol okay so here’s how to make this delicious veggie bowl... save this post to cook it up in the future🍴Sautee Trader Joe’s cruciferous crunch mix (or any kale that you like) in olive oil with mushrooms, garlic, salt, and pepper. I also added some TJ’s mushroom umami seasoning (so good) and topped with h**p hearts.
chop your sweet pot and bake at 450 for ~30 mins stirring a couple times. I lined the baking sheet with foil, sprayed with coconut oil spray and just sprinkle them with a little Himalayan pink salt!
For the tofu, I literally just buy the baked ready-to-eat kind from trader joe’s 😬 this one was the teriyaki flavor but I like the siracha one better! I just sautee it for a little on the pan to heat it up!
Lentils are just boiled and simmered in chicken broth - cooked according to the package
That’s it! Hope y’all had a lovely day💛

Goooood morning🌿🍓🌿 Made some greek yogurt, strawbs & homemade granola for breakfast! I thought it would be a cool idea to do a little series on food labels and share some hippie knowledge. You DON’T have to track all of your food into a calorie app to lose weight or be healthy!!!! I think the goal should be to understand how to read the labels and what to look for when choosing what to put into your body! So today we’re talking about added sugar🍯 This breakfast is something I would 100% recommend making yourself rather than buying out or using pre-packaged ingredients! That’s because yogurt and granola from the store are usually loadedddd with added sugar!
🍓Added sugars are not naturally occurring sugars in the foods (like sugar in strawberries) but extra sweetness added after the fact- it can be under lots of different names on food labels (honey, agave nectar, maple syrup, etc)
🍓The FDA just recently started putting “added sugar” on food labels to make it easier to understand so if that’s something you haven’t been considering when choosing foods you may want to check it out
🍓 Next time you’re at the store buying prepackaged little yogurts or granola, read the label and ingredients because most of them have like 15g of added sugar in a tiny yogurt🤔 Or the granola you think is “healthy” has the same nutrition facts as a chocolate chip cookie...
🍓I think it’s good to stay at or below 25g of added sugars for the whole day just for reference! Of course I mess that up all the time because I don’t track my food... but if I am going to have something with that much added sugar it’s gonna be a cookie not a yogurt😏

chicken, veggies & spaghetties 🍝 Last night’s dinner was spaghetti squash, sautéed garlic mushrooms and spinach, classic marinara, chili seasoned chicken, sliced tomatoes, and some parmesan cheese😍 Spaghetti squash is one of the best things for meal prep because one squash makes spaghetti for dayyyys. & now for part 2 of my nutrition label series: Fats. So of course people label fats as “healthy fats” or “unhealthy fats” or whatever... but basically fat is a macronutrient that everyone metabolizes a little differently. Some people do better on a high fat diet (like Keto) and some people do better with low fat. I typically choose to go on the lower fat side. Howeverrrr you gotta be careful because sometimes things will be advertised as “low fat” and then just have a ton of added sugar instead🙄 So read those labels!!! Also, I know that olive oil can be very good for you and have tons of healthy benefits... but I still always try to use just what I actually NEED to cook my food, not covered in copious amounts of it. A couple tablespoons of olive oil can add ~250 calories and 27g of fat to your meal if your not careful! And I’m not saying fat is bad!!! But if you are trying to lose weight or “~eat healthier~” I think it’s just something to be aware of before u go pourin half the bottle on your broccoli😝. That’s all🤗

who doesn’t love a good brownie?!😍🍫 last week I finally tried the almond flour brownie mix & I am so impressed👏🏼 I was getting ingredients to make a “healthier” brownie recipe from scratch but the almond flour alone was $10 and when you’re $20 brownies are a no from me dog, so I grabbed a box mix instead! I subbed coconut sugar and put a little less than the recipe called for, then added choco chips🤤 These have the most simple ingredients so you can feel good about treating yo self👏🏼 I’ve had like 3 every night for a week and I’m telling y’all these are no joke! Def a must try😛

🌈bowl for lunch today! I haven’t worked out in a couple days and I had tons of candy, french fries, wine, and a huge unhealthy sandwich yesterday so I was craving all the veggies today!! I’ve been a little mia but just enjoying being on my phone less & not posting allll my foods. Anyways I’m back at it today & I’m about to leave for the gym to do a fun workout tonight that I haven’t tried before so I’ll be sharing that later on my stories🤩 I hope you’re having a great weekend❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 zucchini noodles, cherry tomatoes, orange bell pepper, sweet potato, avocado, red onion & goat cheese
