Women's Right to Know | Department of Health | State of Louisiana

Happy Monday, friends! Many folks call our clinic to ask "how this abortion thing works". Here is the low-down: The state of Louisiana requires that folks seeking abortion services first have state-mandated counseling with an abortion provider and then wait a required 24 hours before having an abortion procedure. We provide this counseling in our first appointment, which is available by appointment only. These appointments costs $150 on a money order or $165 on a debit or credit card. At the end of the first appointment, you can make an appointment for an abortion. We offer medication abortions with pills as well as surgical procedures. You are not obligated to make an appointment for a termination if you do not want to. Please call anytime M-F 8am to 4 pm with questions, concerns, or to make an appointment. You might be put on hold, but just hang tight, our small staff is happy to assist you!
