Hello my friends, it has been a long time since I wrote in my face book page. I hope you are keeping safe and protected in your homes. It has been extremely stressful times. The Covid 19 infection is causing major havoc in people's lives. Lives are being taken from the dear and near ones. Pain and suffering is faced by one and all.
As I was reading scientific literature on the effects of the viral infection, l found that one major point has been identified as the reason for lung and other organ failure leading to mortality. Physicians call it as "cytokine storm". This basically is a super high production of immune factors. They are called Interlukins (IL). There are several forms. Of these IL 1 and IL 6 and a factor called TNF alpha are very high and lead to lung damage. This damage of lungs affect oxygen transfer to the tissues. One way to overcome the breathing difficulty is to use ventilators. Suppressing the production of these damaging Interlukins , is another way to treat the condition.
Scientists are searching for a drug to prevent the cytokine storm.
My search of scientific literature showed several areas of research, where in experiments have been done in vitro( Petri dish) and in animal models, using herbal compounds, to treat cytokine storm. Some of them are curcumin, a purified product of turmeric roots, indole 3 carbinol from broccoli, Reservetrol from grape seed extract and epigalocatechin gallate, a compound present in green tea. These compounds have been used individually. At least in the tissue culture experiments and in mouse model it has worked. No human studies have been done to show it has similar effects and they need to be done using clinical trials.
Breast Safeguard Susthana from Protegene Corporation has all these purified compounds in its formulation. In a way by taking Breast Safeguard, you MAY have an added benefit.
Please follow all the advice CDC is giving,
Wear face masks, maintain physical distancing (social), wash your hands with soap and water, minimise exposure for possible exposure to virus. Asymptomatic people can spread the virus even before they develop symptoms and get sick. Please, please be safe.
