My beloved, Tuskegee, you, like every place where our people have left our essence of life, are everything divine and heart-expanding. It has been our pleasure to be of service to you and all inhabitants. To be embraced by our own people tenders my heart everytime I see your faces in my mind’s eye. Thank you for opening the Tuskegee and Alabama community at-large to us for this year’s Ifá-Òrìṣà Ancestor Pilgrimage 2023. To the Elder women in Tuskegee, and to the Elder men who would navigate through any obstacle for you, it is you all who make us so so proud, we just love you, and cannot thank you enough for being shining examples of authentic and real Elders...Tuskegee, WARRIOR!!!!! Tuskegee, you are a mystical place. To our Òrìṣà of homage, Bàbá George Washington Carver and Bàbá Booker T. Washington, to do what we did when we were in your presence is unprecedented, yet you cleared a path for our work as promised...smooooothe, yet I still feel I want to show you more love. Your life paths fill me with passion, rage, gratitude and inspiration. You are both noble men of dignity, integrity, poise and determination, and we all shall continue to honor you both in our own unique ways. To Nature’s Garden for Victory and Peace, Dr. Shakir....what a divine force of a Woman you are. We share each other’s vision and mission. To my Ifá-Òrìṣà Academy and apprentices, you are my driving force, seeing the endurance, growth, development and core beauty of you all, and how you are cultivating these same values and traits in our children, keeps my inner flame alight. May Heaven continue to meet you all on the path of destiny fulfillment, happiness, joy and peace. Only the realest remain standing, and I’m so so proud of you all. Thank you for choosing me to be your Spiritual Guide and Mother. Together, we will remain a haven of wealth and prosperity.
