AxoSim AxoSim empowers advancements in human neuroscience and accelerates the drug development

AxoSim’s NerveSim® and BrainSim® technology is revolutionizing drug development by offering the CRO industry’s most advanced, clinically-relevant models of neural tissue. The Company developed a 3D cell-based platform that looks and acts like a real nerve, serving as an alternative to costly animal testing and ineffective 2D models. AxoSim’s services provide pharmaceutical companies with high content data faster and earlier than currently possible. Currently, the Company uses its proprietary model to screening treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, such as multiple sclerosis and ALS, as well as advanced models for neurotoxicity testing.

Athletes are known for their strength and speed, but to compete at an elite level, their brains must connect with their bodies to enable precise motor function.

AxoSim wishes athletes across the globe a safe, meaningful, and victorious Olympics.

AxoSim's microBrain™ organoids can be used to simulate various neurodevelopmental and degenerative diseases. Here, we've grown organoids using iPSCs from a healthy donor (Control) and those of a patient with CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder (CDKL5 KO). While neurons (green) and astrocytes (magenta) develop normally, the CDD organoids show a dramatic hyperactivity phenotype that can be measured via high throughput calcium imaging.
