Pilates from a Yoga Teacher’s POV 👀
Lately, I’ve been exploring how different mindful movement practices can support each other.
As a yoga instructor, I’ve spent 6 years on the yoga mat teaching, breathing, flowing.
But when I embarked on my Pilates journey 3 months ago, the movements felt similar…yet completely new.
Both cultivate mindful movements and balance; just from different directions.
🧘🏽♀️Yoga connects body and mind through breath and flow, improving flexibility, balance, and inner calm.
Pilates challenges me differently.
More precision, move smaller, slower, same mindfulness.
🔥 Pilates builds deep core strength, stability, and connection to the core; helping your posture and power from the inside out.
💡 My takeaway: Yoga and Pilates aren’t competitors; they’re companions. Mixing the two helps you move smarter, recover faster and feel stronger overall. Don’t stick to just one style! Your body loves variety for optimal results.
