This room has held a lot of different stories.📚

Some people come here seeking relief from pain.
Some come simply needing a place to rest.
Others arrive carrying far more than what can be seen on the surface.

Every session looks a little different, because every person is different.

What stays the same is the intention to create a space that feels steady, quiet, and supportive.✨

It’s not every day your family gets to be featured in a magazine.😱🥰

My hubby never knows what I might drag him into, and Junie is always along for the ride.😅

Thank you to Neighbors of Hanover Magazine for the opportunity to share more about our family and Abundant Life Wellness!

Grateful for this life and these loves of mine.💚💚

Today, I got to do manual lymphatic drainage on a client recovering from breast cancer/double mastectomy/reconstructive surgery and therapeutic massage on a client suffering from chronic pain as a result of a severe automobile accident. I don’t share this in a braggy-type way but in an “oh my gosh someone pinch me…is this really what I get to do for a living and how I support my family-type way?”🥹🙏

I’m always deeply humbled by the clients who trust me to help create a space for their bodies to heal. And I share this as a reminder that there are very few medical conditions that prevent someone from receiving massage therapy.

Even on the days I think, “gosh I could really stay in bed,” I get to work and remember I LOVE what I do!🥰💚

In my line of work, I see caregivers quietly carrying so much.

Often they’re focused on appointments, logistics, and everyone else’s needs while their own bodies and nervous systems stay in the background.

If you’re a caregiver, I want you to know that your care matters too. Rest is not a luxury, and receiving support doesn’t take away from the care you give others.

Pain is rarely just about one muscle.❌

Often, it’s connected to patterns like how we move, how we rest, how we’ve adapted over time, or how stress is being held in the body.🏃

Therapeutic massage isn’t about chasing pain or forcing release. It’s about listening carefully, working thoughtfully, and supporting the body as a whole.👂🏼

Relief tends to come when the body feels understood and safe enough to let go.💚

🌝 Happy Spring Equinox!🌞

Today marks the moment when day and night stand in near balance. ⚖️

For many people, this time of year feels more natural for setting intentions than in January. Goals don’t have to be driven by pressure or urgency. They can be rooted in what you want to grow, nurture, or make space for in your life.

If your body still feels heavy or tired from winter, you’re not behind... you’re right on time.

Spring unfolds slowly. 🌱

Our bodies are no different. Renewal happens with warmth, safety, and patience.

Massage therapy can support this transition by helping the nervous system settle, circulation wake up, and the body release what it’s been holding.

Today, you might consider one small act of renewal:
✨ Step outside for a few minutes of sunlight
✨ Stretch or move gently
✨ Drink something warm and nourishing
✨ Take even 5 minutes of rest without guilt

Wishing you a season of ease, warmth, and quiet renewal.🌷

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that massage isn’t allowed during cancer treatment.

In reality, massage can often be safe and supportive when it’s offered with the right training, thoughtful communication, and appropriate adaptations. Oncology massage looks different than general massage, because bodies going through treatment have different needs.

Care should always be shaped around where someone is in their experience, not based on assumptions or fear.

You deserve care that is informed, respectful, and centered on safety.

If you’ve ever hesitated to book a massage because you weren’t sure your body could handle it or because you felt nervous, unsure what to expect, or wondered if it was “for you,” you’re not alone.

Many people wait longer than they need to simply because they don’t know their options or don’t realize massage therapy can be offered to individuals who deal with medically complex health issues.

I’m always happy to answer questions, talk through what might feel best for you, or help you find a gentle place to start.💚

Manual lymphatic drainage is one of the gentlest techniques I use, yet it can be deeply supportive for the body.✨

The work is slow, precise, and intentionally light, designed to support the body’s natural rhythms rather than push for change. Many people find MLD helps them feel more at ease in their body, more settled in their nervous system, and more supported overall.

This work can be helpful for a wide range of people, from those simply needing rest and regulation, to individuals navigating swelling, chronic inflammation, autoimmune conditions, or medical stress.

As with all of my work, care is always adapted to what your body needs that day.💚
