Yesterday was National Dog Day, and I found it too emotional to join in the celebration. Seeing all the beautiful tributes to beloved pets made me reflect on the immense sadness and grief I still feel for my dear Chloe. In July, after nearly 17 wonderful years together, I had to say goodbye to this amazing girl. Chloe was more than just a loyal and loving family member; she was my partner in my mental health practice, providing unwavering support and comfort to my clients throughout her entire life.

Words cannot express how fortunate I feel to have worked with her side by side, sharing both the joyous and difficult moments of my life. She truly was a blessing, and I will carry her in my heart always.

Ayer fue el Día Nacional del Perro, y me resultó demasiado emocional unirme a la celebración. Ver todos los hermosos tributos a las mascotas queridas me hizo reflexionar sobre la inmensa tristeza y el dolor que aún siento por mi querida Chloe. En julio, después de casi 17 maravillosos años juntas, tuve que despedirme de esta increíble compañera. Chloe fue más que una leal y amorosa miembro de la familia; fue mi compañera en mi práctica de salud mental, brindando un apoyo y consuelo inquebrantables a mis clientes durante toda su vida.

No hay palabras que expresen lo afortunada que me siento de haber trabajado a su lado, compartiendo tanto los momentos más felices como los más difíciles de mi vida. Ella fue realmente una bendición, y la llevaré en mi corazón siempre.
