MEET THE TEACHER ✨
Terri McDermott
About Terri:
With over 20 years of experience, Terri McDermott continues to pursue an active and interdisciplinary path in health and wellness through the study and teaching of holistic care, meditation, and the many pathways of yoga.
A Michigan native, Terri is an ERYT 500 with over 12,000 hours of teaching experience. She completed her 200-hour training with Jenny Lintvedt and her 300-hour training with Mugs McConnell, and has continued her studies with respected teachers including Sean Corn and Kathryn Buddig. She has also trained in the Gitananda lineage under Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani and continues her studies in yoga therapy, focusing on supporting the whole person alongside medical professionals. Terri also serves as a board member of Yoga Alliance.
Terri weaves wellness into all aspects of life, helping students create balance and harmony through practices that support physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Her approach integrates breathwork, deep stretching, core strength, meditation, and reflection.
Her work with individuals navigating illness deepened her passion for healing, while her lifelong connection to yoga continues to guide her path of learning and spiritual growth.
Terri believes, with her entire being, that our bodies are meant to heal themselves. Through self-study, discipline, and conscious practice, we build strength, resilience, and a deeper connection to who we are.
Terri will be teaching Monday Restorative Yoga at 12:15 beginning April 6th. She is also offering a workshop, Ayurveda: The Science of Life, on April 18th. To sign up, visit yogaloungensb.com
