Wild Bunch Special Olympics Wild Bunch Special Olympics provides sports training and competition for people with intellectual disabilities of all ages in New Ulm and surrounding area.

The Wild Bunch Special Olympics team is founded on the belief that people with intellectual disabilities can, with proper instruction and encouragement, learn, enjoy and benefit from participation in individual and team sports, adapted as necessary to meet the needs of those with intellectual and physical disabilities. We believe that consistent training is essential to the development of sports skills, and that competition among those of equal abilities is the most appropriate means of testing these skills, measuring progress and providing incentives for personal growth. The Wild Bunch as part of Special Olympics Minnesota believes that through sports training and competition, people with intellectual disabilities benefit physically, mentally and socially; families are strengthened; and the community at large, both through participation and observation, is united in understanding people with intellectual disabilities in an environment of equality, respect and acceptance. ATTENTION - Please read completely

Recreational bowling kicks off next Sunday, January 18, at Concordia Lanes in New Ulm. Please be ready to start by 3:20, just like we do for league. There will be no bowling on Sunday, January 25, due to a scheduling conflict. Here’s the schedule for the rest of the year:

February 1, 2026
February 8, 2026
February 15, 2026
February 22, 2026
March 1, 2026
March 8, 2026

If you can’t make it to practice, you have until the next Friday to make up the game on your own. Just send me a photo of the scoreboard with your name and final score or a printout of your score sheet from whichever alley you’re bowling at. If you miss a practice, it is your responsibility to get your information to me by the Friday deadline.

Check here for updates and any weather-related cancellations. This will be the only spot where these notices are posted, so please look at the FB page before reaching out. Thanks!

UPDATE: Myron has offered to increase the prize to $50 (out of his own pocket!) to the athlete that sells the most spaghetti supper tickets! What a great incentive to get out there and sell those tickets. If you need more, please let Myron or me know and we will make sure you get some.
