LGBTQ+ Voices: National Recovery Community Needs Assessment

Now’s the time to weigh in!

Now’s the time to weigh in!

📣 It’s here: The LGBTQ+ Voices: National Recovery Needs Assessment is now live!

At Dolan Research International, we’re proud to support this groundbreaking effort to uplift and center the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals in recovery.

This national survey was created by LGBTQ+ leaders, for LGBTQ+ communities, to better understand the real-world barriers we face when seeking recovery support, mental health services, and affirming care. Your story, your voice, and your lived experience matter—and this survey is a powerful step toward building systems that reflect and respect our needs.

This important project is led by Inclusive Recovery Athens, Acceptance Recovery Center, Inc., and The Global Trans Equity Project - GTEP, with deep collaboration from a network of visionary community partners, including:

✅LGBTQ Institute at The National Center for Civil and Human Rights
✅Faces & Voices of Recovery
✅P.E.A.S.E. Academy
✅Dolan Research International
✅Minnesota Alliance of Recovery Community Organizations
✅Native American 2Spirit Sacred Circle
✅Rainbow Global Collective
✅Dr. Lulu’s Angel’s Haven

If you identify as LGBTQ+ and have experience with recovery or seeking recovery, we invite you to take the survey and share your truth.

Scan the QR code or access the survey here: https://inclusiverecoveryathens.org/needs-assessment/

Together, let’s ensure every voice is heard—and let’s shape a more inclusive and equitable future for recovery.

Sarah's reflections capture something we're deeply proud of: the genuine warmth and welcome that The City of Frederick and The Frederick Center offer. From heartfelt conversations at The Frederick Center to quiet moments in our natural spaces and shared meals with community members and our mayor, Sarah's visit was full of the same care and authenticity we strive to show every day.

To see our city and community celebrated like this on an international platform is both moving and energizing. We're grateful to Sarah for her thoughtful storytelling and to GCN Magazine for the feature.

💜 Here's to small cities making a big impact—and to everyone who helped make that visit unforgettable.

As preparations for WorldPride DC 2025 continue, Sarah Creighton Keogh was invited to explore the capital region of the USA, which spans Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. The journey took her through charming historic streets, thriving LGBTQ+ communities, and some of the best queer-owned and q...
