My name is Abe Goico and I am a Venezuelan Dominican mental health counselor. I hold a bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in the area of foster care, residential counseling, and outpatient mental health counseling for children, adolescents and adults. Prior to becoming a professional I spent a great number of years voluntarily counseling men and facilitating groups in a ministry setting. I speak fluent Spanish and have an in depth understanding of Latin American culture. I provide culturally sensitive counseling to people from all walks of life. I also utilize a holistic approach when working with clients and integrate mindfulness techniques and other evidence based approaches. It would be my pleasure to guide and support you on your journey to achieving your goals!

We attended our first community event this past Monday, August 29th to support the children of Newark , New Jersey. It was a back to school event with numerous organizations, resources, give aways etc for children and adolescents. Children need positive affirmations and simple tools to help them manage stress and anxiety at a time when peer pressure, bullying, su***de and gun violence is at an ultimate high. We are grateful we got to attend!!

As a parent I learn so much from my children. They don’t realize how much better of a person I have become because I know their watching every thing I do and say. They also teach me how to be more friendly and loving to people.

Our children are indeed our greatest teachers....and often the most delightful ones we will ever encounter!
