Don't do # 8 😳
Some days you won't feel as motivated...
And some days you won't feel motivated at all!
What's important is that you show up and do your best MOST of the time.
1. Everyone knows protein is required to build muscle...
But what people don't know is that there's no set amount for everyone.
Depending on who you are, how you train, your goals, etc., you may need more or less than someone else.
That's why it's important to have clear goals and to calculate your calories.
That way, you can focus on working hard and following the plan 👌
2. Work as hard as you want, but if you're not sleeping...
It'll all be for nothing! 😅
Some people need less sleep, but you should aim for at least 7 hours...
No one's ever been TOO rested!
3. Make sure your workout is conducive to your goals.
You wouldn't train like a runner if you wanted to be a bodybuilder...
So don't follow random workouts on social media!
4. Even if you're following a solid program, your ego can easily derail your progress.
5. Lift heavy with progressive overload (doing more and more work over time)...
But don't let your ego make you think you're stronger than you are.
6. Weight is important, but so is volume!
Lift enough volume (weight x sets x reps) each week to build muscle...
But "junk" volume, or extra unnecessary volume, can be as bad as lifting too heavy.
Start with enough volume to create the desired effect...
And increased as needed!
7. Like with volume, you can increase cardio anytime...
So start with the bare minimum and increase as you go (or not!)
And do your cardio AFTER so you have the energy to lift!
8. Soreness doesn't mean you got a good workout...
In fact, it doesn't mean much at all!
