This weekend was a dream I never wanted to wake up from. Yes, that is in fact my fat ass on a billboard in Times Square.

I can’t help but think of the little version of me who hated her body and did so much to hide and shrink. The little girl who has tried to change her body with diet and exercise since 6 years old. The little girl who starved herself, who looked at herself in the mirror and imagined what being skinny one day would look The girl who desperately just wanted to blend in and who was terrified of being singled out.

We made it, kid. We showed the world that we don’t need to shrink, we don’t need to have perfect skin, we don’t need to hide ourselves away. We deserve to be seen.

And we are. 💜

We started this journey together in January — 4 inexperienced, nervous, baby HS advocates, taking off their clothes in front of the camera to share our biggest vulnerabilities.

We’ve laughed together, sobbed together, gotten in trouble together (whoops 🙃), and have supported each other through this once in a lifetime experience.

There is no one else I’d want by my side while we share our . I love you three with my whole fat heart 💜💜💜

And a huge thanks to for bringing us together and giving us a space to be heard.
