Our Story
Anna and Jamie have collaborated and connected as clinicians, executive functioning specialists, and parents. Through our many shared experiences, we noticed a very clear theme arising in our work and community. Clients of our private practices expressed a longing for support in applying their new insights and tools in their home lives and the community. In our work with Organizational Tutors we observed complicated family dynamics in our clients’ homes and listened as they asked for associated therapeutic support. As mothers, we found ourselves collaborating with neighborhood peers as we visited their homes to provide parenting advice. So, we began to bring the work to our clients in their dwellings. We met with parents to cultivate a unified parenting approach, leading to a reduction of family tension. We collaborated with families to cultivate behavioral modification plans tailored to their specific needs. We helped parents understand and learn strategies to help lessen their children’s emotional dysregulation. We supported families working through and rebuilding problematic relationships between siblings. And we worked with individuals and families who struggled with major life and identity transitions.
Our work has been both rewarding and effective. With Dwellness, we are excited to offer an opportunity for more clinicians and clients to collaborate towards healing in the home.
