Every year we gather in December for World AIDS Day, in remembrance of those lost and the tough times we've faced, as well as in celebration of the great work done by ACQC & AHF in our community.

We were so pleased this year to be joined by artists, political leaders including Queens DA Melinda Katz and Queens Deputy Borough President Ebony Young; a wonderful keynote by Rev. David Olson, and members of our staff and consumer communities.

On this World AIDS Day, we at ACQC are focused on Putting People First. Following decades of struggle and loss, we have today the tools and resources to fight HIV/AIDS - and to help all of those from vulnerable communities access not just medical but behavioral care, housing services, legal consultation and so much more.

Putting People First means thinking of solutions from the point of view of those most affected. Rather than thinking of hard-to-reach populations, we should think of hard-to-reach health services. HIV responses must be built for the individual, especially the most vulnerable.

Please join our World AIDS Day program which will stream live this Thursday on our page, stating 11am Eastern.

We had an amazing time celebrating the great work in the ACQC community at this year's Fall Gala, "Season of Thanks: Our Community United."

Hosted at the fabulous retro TWA Hotel, more than 200 guests enjoyed live music, cocktail hour and helped us honor five individuals who are pillars of the community.

Take a look at this video recap of the night!

If you couldn't join us, we hope to see you at next year's event!
