Wondering how many private practice therapists are out there who:
- know they want the dream and flexibility of private practice but aren't sure how to get there
- don't feel the confidence to "put themselves out there" aggressively (whatever that means)
- feel pressured to "niche down", but at the same time worry that they're losing whatever voice they might have to other populations they can do good work with
- feel strange billing rates which reflects the value they provide because "I'm new", "I can't charge that because I'm not good enough" or some other reflection of impostor syndrome.
I know there are several.
Part of what I do for my private consultees (yes, people call them supervisees, but there are legal distinctions between the two) is offer feedback and support on how to structure your outreach based on their business goals.
Want to work with a variety of specific populations? Let's figure out how to engage with them.
Need to charge a certain rate and feel weird about it? Let's walk through it and see why.
Overwhelmed by the gap between where you are and where you feel pressured to be? Let's see what's in that gap and how to arrange it so it's not as huge.
Of course, I can't help people who I'm not working with.
If this is you, give me a call.
